Reese Stuhr, a 2026 graduate of Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School, graduated U.S. Air Force Basic Military Training on August 26 & 27, 2026. Reese is the daughter of Brian & Clarissa Stuhr of Petersburg.

Petersburg native, Larry Petsche has always had an interest in farm equipment and that interest sparked a show that will celebrate its 44th anniversary this year. Rae Valley Days started as a threshing event that was part of the Petersburg Church Bazaar.

Sunday, August 15 was a good day at the 5th annual Duane Childers and Marv Koch Memorial Trap Shoot competition at the Antelope County Shooters Trap Range, Neligh. A reported 60 shooters engaged in the competition with over 100 in attendance.
Storm brings down limbs, causes damage

Following last week’s high wind residents were picking up the mostly small branches which blew down. One tree was broken off north of the boulevard barely missing the house.
New chair helps with rescues

Recently the Petersburg rescue unit held a training session in the Village Campus allowing personnel to become familiar with a newly purchased Stryker stair climber allowing for easier transportation of patients.
